- I live in historical neighborhood in Indianapolis. I have a small yard in which I have traditionally planted perennial flowers. I love to cook and I want to eat more locally grown organic produce, so I decided (GASP!!!!) to dig up a part of my flower garden to plant fruits and vegetables. What a wonderful sight! I have 2 Yellow Pears and 5 or 6 Husky Cherry Reds...I'm sooooo excited to eat them!!

Now we have a big organic vegetable garden in our back yard here in Columbia, SC. I look forward to reading more from you blog! Love your blog Katie! I found it while browesing the garden web. I am really looking forward to the next central IN plant swap! I live in SW IN. I have an organic veggie garden, perennial gardens and many herbs I grow in pots. I also own a chocolate cocker (the most unique and fun breed of dog I have ever owned!)
